About

Our fifth Eco Open Houses event across Worthing and Adur was due to span nearly 3 weeks in April from 9th-26th 2020, starting with a wide range of fringe events and finishing up with our inspiring open houses.   However, we had to cancel the event due to the coronavirus situation so we are hoping to reinstate it in some form once permitted. We were very grateful to be supported by our sponsors as well as our team of partners (see event brochure at: www.ttworthing.org for more details).  We are currently working on presenting the event mostly in an online, but still very inspiring form. Please check out Transition Town Worthing website for updates.

Everybody's talking about Climate Change –

Do we feel overwhelmed by it all? As individuals, how can we make a difference? Will it help the bigger picture?  How can we be the change we wish to see in our world?

This event is about ordinary people in Worthing and Adur just getting on with the job, often having fun (it can be!) and inspiring others to take small, achievable steps towards resilient, environmentally friendly lives. They don't have all the answers, but they have made a commitment to be a small part of the solution, rather than be part of the problem.

Whether you think man made climate change is a hoax or not, perhaps you care about pollution of our air, water, coastline, green and urban spaces, or that micro plastics have now entered our food chain.  You might be concerned about local surface water flooding or the rising cost of water and fuel bills.  This event tries to address these issues and more….

We hope that however we end up presenting the event, you will find it interesting, informative, inspiring, helpful and fun.  From complex systems to simple changes anyone can make, there's something for everyone.

In addition to the 12 properties, there will hopefully be be fringe events in some form.
